Florida man sues over ADA accommodations at Disney Springs hotel

A Florida man who is a paraplegic is suing Disney and a Disney Springs hotel over what he says are a list of violations that make the resort unaccessible to people with disabilities.

Carlos Brito, who has filed about a half-dozen similar federal lawsuits in the past two years, is asking for the courts to require the B Resort and Spa to become more accessible and for his attorneys’ fees to be paid, according to the newest lawsuit filed this week in Orlando federal court.

Disney does not own or operate the hotel, which is on Disney property near Disney Springs, a company spokeswoman said when reached for comment.

In his lawsuit, Brito contends there are issues of accessibility at the pool bar counter, bathrooms and curb and parking spaces.
