SeaWorld rescues sea turtle — cue cute animal pictures

A 183-pound loggerhead sea turtle is back in the ocean at Daytona Beach this week after a three-month long rehabilitation effort.

SeaWorld sent the news release and photos that chronicled the animal’s rescue after it was found in Daytona Beach in May.

“Upon rescue, the animal was found with an amputated flipper and seemed to be struggling with digestive issues,” a SeaWorld press release said.

After the turtle was taken to SeaWorld, an X-ray showed seashells in the animal’s intestines.
